Prof. Dr Chanda Karki, a renowned Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the country, former Departmental Head of Obstetrics and gynaecology of the Kathmandu Medical College, and the past President of Nepal Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist, is the Principal of Kathmandu medical college. Dr. Mukund Raj Joshi is the Director of the Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital. Several of our teaching staff have had considerable teaching experience in Medical Colleges in India and abroad including Kathmandu Medical College.

The main hospital of Kathmandu Medical College is located in Sinamangal near The Tribhuvan International Airport. Besides Kathmandu Medical College, a community hospital is built near the basic science campus in Duwakot. Emergency service and General OPD Service have already started at Kathmandu Medical College on the first and second floor of the 11-storeyed building of Duwakot.
