SBKS Medical Instt Research Centre (SBKS), Vadodra, Gujarat B. K. Shah Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, At & Po Puparia, Ta Waghodia, Dist. Vadodara is an integral part of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth, an institution recognized as an institution under the UGC Act, 1956, in the rural area of Gujarat. It comprises a campus of 391760, 65 acres. The college was approved by the Medical Council of India and the Government of India on 30 September 2003 to accommodate 150 medical students. On 17 January 2007, it was recognized as a college under the UGC Act, 1956 and later merged with Sumandeep Vidyapeeth.
On 30 June 2003, the M.B.B.S degree was recognized, and the college started its graduation courses after a rigorous examination granting 69 degrees and 25 diploma benefits in many streams from September 2002 to February 2003. Conversion of 25 degrees into 24 seats results in 136 PG-degree seats. When Dhiraj Hospital was established in 2002, it introduced 5 specializations (DM/M.Ch.) and has now evolved into a state-of-the-art 1065-bed teaching hospital supporting the college’s commitment to healthcare efficiency.
