Santosh Medical College (SMC), Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh Established in 1995, Santosh Medical College and Hospitals has quickly become a leading destination for medical education in Ghaziabad, India. The university started its MBBS program in 1996 with an initial enrollment of about 50 students per year. In 2005, recognition by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Government of India raised the status of the program, increasing the capacity to enter 100 students per year. Similarly, the Santosh College of Dentistry, established in 1995, aims to enhance dental education. Offering a foundation course in BDS since 1996, the college started with about 40 students a year and then, after 2005, increased the intake to 100 students a year.
