Assam State Merit List for NEET UG 2025 Is Out!

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, has officially released the Provisional Assam State Merit List for NEET UG 2025. This marks the beginning of the state-level admission process for MBBS and BDS courses in government medical and dental colleges across Assam for the academic session 2025.

All NEET UG 2025 candidates who registered under the Assam state quota are advised to carefully go through the merit list and follow the instructions for further steps in the counseling and admission process.

What Does This List Mean?

If your name is on the Assam State Merit List for NEET UG 2025, it means you’re in the race for a government MBBS or BDS seat in Assam. This list ranks students based on their NEET UG 2025 scores, and it’s a preliminary list, not the final admission list.

So, no, seats aren’t allotted yet. But this is the list that determines who gets called first when online counseling begins.

NEET UG 2025 Answer Key Released

Here’s What You Need to Do Now

  • Check Your Details

Look through the list — is your name spelled correctly? Category mentioned, right? Rank accurate? If anything seems off, now’s the time to act.

  • Want to Change Your Category? You Can!

If you need to switch the category you applied under (General to OBC/MOBC, etc.), you can do it between 5th and 11th July, 2025.

  • Where? Submit your form by hand at Room No. 5, 2nd floor, DME Office, Sixmile, Guwahati.
  • No email or postal submissions accepted. Not even speed post.
  • PRC Holders Who Studied Outside Assam — This Is for You

If you hold a Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) but studied classes 7 to 12 outside Assam, you can still be included in the list!

Just submit your request by 11th July with supporting documents to the same office. Bring copies. Don’t forget the originals either.

  • Watch Out for the Final Merit List

The final list will be out soon after category changes and PRC claims are reviewed. Once that’s out, counselling begins — and you’ll get to lock in your choices.

Expert tips from Radical Education

Here are some expert tips from the experts of Radical Education:

  1. Mark the Deadline and Set Reminders– don’t wait for the last day. We suggest marking the deadlines and setting reminders in advance.
  2. Gather All Documents in Advance– Keep digital and physical copies of required documents (NEET scorecard, mark sheets, certificates) ready. Uploading incorrect or blurry documents is a common reason for application rejection.
  3. Double-Check Eligibility Criteria- The candidates are requested to kindly double-check the eligibility criteria to avoid any kind of last-minute confusion.
  4. Use a Stable Internet Connection While Applying to Application portals can lag or crash near deadlines. Experts recommend applying during off-peak hours (early morning or late night) for smoother processing.
  5. Keep Payment Proof and Acknowledgment Safe– Save the payment receipt and application confirmation both as a PDF and a screenshot. Radical Education emphasizes this as essential in case of disputes or errors during document verification.
  6. Avoid Common Application Mistakes– Check for spelling errors, incorrect NEET roll number entries, wrong category selection, or uploading old photographs. A small mistake can cost you your seat.
  7. Reach Out for Guidance if Unsure– If in doubt about any of the steps, Radical Education is here to help. Never trust social media threads or unofficial forums alone.

FAQs

Fill out the form (available on the DME site) and submit it in person by 11th July. No online forms, emails, or postal services accepted.
