Yenepoya Medical College (YMC) is established in 1999 and allied with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. Yenepoya Medical College initially enrolled 100 MBBS students; the school later expanded its curriculum to include undergraduate courses in 7 departments from 2005 and currently offers programs in 20 departments. Admissions to postgraduate courses, including NEET PG, are conducted based on national eligibility criteria and counseling procedures. In 2009, the college was granted the status of Yenepoya University, which was recognized as a university under the UGC Act of 1956. The building also has 234 beds to support its medical facilities.
