NEET UG is properly known as an undergraduate examination that is conducted throughout India by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in a systematic manner. We have a timetable for NEET 2026 that helps you in your preparation. The results declared in this examination, in the form of percentiles as well as ranks, determine which medical college the student will be listed to attend. All government and most private medical colleges in India are supposed to follow the NEET exam results while choosing the candidates that meet their college-specific eligibility criteria. Some Important tips for candidates
- Make sure to fill out the application carefully and revise all details before hitting Submit.
- The portal will also require you to upload scanned copies of essential documents like Birth Certificate and Class 10 Board Results.
- Keep documents like the Aadhar Card and Class 11 marksheet ready as well.
- If you belong to an OBC, SC, ST, etc background, keep your document ready for the same.
- Once you have applied, make sure you visit the official NTA website daily to stay on top of any new notifications or alerts.
Eligibility criteria
- Candidates should have completed or appeared in their Class 12 exams, having subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English.
- For General and EWS categories, a minimum of 50% in the qualifying subjects is required, and for Reserved Categories need at least 40%, and PwD candidates need 45%.
- Students who come from open school boards and who have opted for Biology as an additional subject are also eligible.
- Candidates must be at least 17 years old by December 31, 2025.
- There is no restriction on the number of attempts for NEET
Documents Required For Admission To NEET 2026
Candidates are required to submit the following documents in original as well as their attested photocopies at the time of admission:
- NEET admit card
- Class 10 certificate
- Class 12 certificate
- Class 12 mark sheet
- The allotment letter issued by MCC
- NEET UG 2026 result or rank card
- Birth certificate
- Eight passport-size photographs same as those affixed on the application form.

- NEET 2026 is a pen-and-paper examination which is going to be held between 2:00 p.m. to 5:20 p.m. in IST.
- There are around 500 exam centers located in different cities and towns of India.
- Applicants are required to travel to these centers and take the exam from there.
- The exam will cover 200 MCQ questions from which candidates will be required to attempt at least 180 questions.

NEET Fees for 2026

- General Category Fees should be around 1700 INR.
- General-EWS, OBC-NCL category candidates have to deposit an application fee of 1600 INR.
- SC, ST, PH, and Gender category candidates are required to pay an application fee of 1000 INR.
