What is the NEET-UG?
NEET stands for National Entrance and Eligibility Test. It is an undergraduate exam for students who want to pursue a career in the medical field and get admission in medical colleges. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the examination. Students who have completed their 12th grade are eligible to take this exam.
NEET UG is held once a year throughout India. Students can take exams as many times as they want. NEET UG was introduced in 2013–14; previously, students had to take the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIMPT) to get admission to government or private medical colleges in India.

Eligibility Criteria
To be selected and take the NEET UG exam, students must have completed their education up to the 12th grade and should be 17 or older.
The class 12 percentage required for the NEET 2024 exam is different for each category and can be found below. NEET eligibility criteria marks includes class 12 are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects.

- OBC/SC/ST- 40%
- PWD- 45%
NEET UG has no maximum restriction. Students can take this exam as many times as they want each year.

REGISTRATION FEE
NEET registration fees differ by category. NEET registration fees are INR 1700 for general candidates, INR 1600 for EWS candidates, and INR 1000 for candidates for the other categories. The NEET application fee for candidates from outside India is INR 9500.
After the NEET registration deadline, the NTA opens the NEET Application Correction window.

To get registered for the NEET UG exam, candidates must carry the given documents or they will not be eligible to register themselves for the NEET UG exam.
