After the success of the GMC in Haldwani (Nainital), Srinagar (Garhwal), and Dehradun in the past decade, the state decided to have another medical college, called “Soban Singh Jeena Government Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Almora” with a total intake for 85 MBBS admissions annually.
