Registration And Application Extended for CET 2026

As per the recent notification published by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), the schedule for the registration and online application deadlines for CET-2026 has been extended. The Common Entrance Test (CET), more well known as the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), is conducted by the KEA and serves as a pathway for entrance for various courses like Agriculture, Pharmacy, Engineering etc. The official announcement of the extension on 13 February 2026 provides additional time for candidates who haven’t yet finished their application process.

Extended Deadline for CET 2026

The original date of the closing of the online application was 16 February 2026 and, as for the fee payment, it was 18 February 2026. However, accounting for the inconveniences multiple candidates faced in completion of the process, KEA has extended the dates as follows :

  • Updated deadline for registration: 22 February 2026 (11:59PM)
  • Updated deadline for fee payment: 24 February 2026 (5:30PM)

This extension will prove to be greatly helpful for many students who haven’t yet completed the application or paid the required fees.

The official notification states that approximately 2,87,909 candidates have registered successfully for CET-2026. This further allowance in the deadline aims to help the remaining eligible candidates complete their applications without missing the opportunity.

Important Points to Consider

KEA has also issued some noteworthy advice for all candidates who have submitted their applications:

  • Careful verification of all the entered details should be done in the application form.
  • If any error is found, corrections can be made by logging into the portal.
  • After the submission of the application, the final details will be saved on the server.

It’s also suggested to review the forms thoroughly to avoid discrepancies during the admission process.
