Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, located in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, was founded in 2007 under the initiative of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India. The institute\’s campus, sprawling across 47 acres, was established in 2008 and offers a range of educational programs, including B.Tech, M.Tech, and PhD courses. RGIPT has earned the prestigious status of \”An Institution of National Importance\” through an Act of Parliament. This institute is co-promoted by notable entities such as ONGC, IOCL, OIL, GAIL, BPCL, and HPCL, in collaboration with the Oil Industry Development Board.

Admission
To get admission the student must fulfill all the eligibility criteria for the course they wish to opt for. For admission to the PDGM courses, the candidate must clear the entrance exam, after this, the candidate should participate in the counseling process and based on the merit of the candidate a seat will be allotted.
