NEET UG 2025 Odisha Counselling: Important Notice for PwBD & Ex-Servicemen Category Applicants
Candidates applying for NEET UG 2025 Odisha Counselling under reserved categories like Physically Challenged (PwBD/PC) and Ex-Servicemen (ES). These categories ensure inclusivity, but they also come with procedures that must be followed to the letter.
If you belong to either of these categories and have qualified NEET UG 2025, this blog will help you understand what to do — and more importantly, when to do it — so your opportunity to study medicine in Odisha is not missed.
For Physically Challenged (PC/PwBD) Candidates
Are you an Odisha domicile student who qualified for NEET UG 2025 Odisha Counselling and wish to apply under PC/PwBD quota? Here’s what you must know:
What You Need to Do for NEET UG 2025 Odisha Counselling?
- Follow NMC’s Public Notice dated 19th July 2025 (available on nmc.org.in and ojee.nic.in).
- Upload the following documents during registration:
- A valid UDID card issued by a competent authority.
- A self-certified affidavit as per NMC format.
- Any other required affidavit specified by NMC guidelines.
- Attend the Medical Board as designated by NMC/MCC.
- The Medical Board’s report must be submitted during reporting/admission at the OJEE Cell, Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar.
Important
If you fail to attend the Medical Board, you will not be considered under the PC category under any circumstances. Even if you have all documents in order, the Medical Board’s recommendation is final and binding.
For Ex-Servicemen (ES) Category Candidates
Are you an Odisha-native candidate from an Ex-Serviceman background and NEET UG 2025 qualified? If yes, you must follow this process carefully.
What You Need to Do for NEET UG 2025 Odisha Counselling?
- Report in person to the Rajya Sainik Board, IRC Village, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar on the scheduled dates:
- 23rd and 24th July, 2025
- Carry these documents:
- NEET UG 2025 Admit Card and Rank Card
- Photo ID proof
- Parents’ service-related documents (retirement certificate, ID, discharge book, etc.)
The Rajya Sainik Board will verify your documents and send a final list of eligible ES category candidates to OJEE.
Admission will only be given based on this list. If your name isn’t on it, you cannot claim ES category seats — even if you have documents.
Important
Failing to appear in person on the specified dates will result in loss of ES category consideration.
Expert Tips from Radical Education
- Be present physically– Whether it’s the Medical Board or the ES Board, attendance is mandatory. There is no online alternative and no second chance.
- Get your documents triple-checked– Even small errors like a mismatch in name between your UDID card and NEET admit card can block your claim. Have an expert verify them early.
- Set reminders and alert your family– These dates are easy to forget amidst post-NEET stress. Set calendar alerts and inform your family about the documentation needs and physical reporting dates.
- Don’t wait till the last hour– Start gathering documents NOW. Don’t assume you’ll be allowed to upload or visit later. This process has no leniency.
FAQs
What if my UDID card is under processing?
You must produce a valid, issued UDID card by the time of registration. Provisional or in-process cards are not accepted.
Can I upload scanned photocopies or soft copies of certificates?
No. Documents must be scanned from the originals, clearly visible, and in PDF format.
What if my name doesn’t appear on the ES list despite submitting documents?
Only the Rajya Sainik Board has authority over ES verification. You must resolve such issues directly with them before the list is published.
Do I need to carry the Medical Board report physically to OJEE?
Yes, during the admission/reporting phase, you must submit the original Medical Board report to validate your PC claim.
