Admission At Nalanda Medical College

UG admission process

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Age: Must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year.
    • Educational Qualification:
      • Completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
      • Minimum aggregate marks in PCB:
        • General category: 50%
        • SC/ST/OBC categories: 40%
        • PwD candidates: 45%
  • Entrance Examination:
    • NEET-UG: Appear for and qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  • Application Process:
    • Registration: After NEET-UG results are declared, register for the centralized counseling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
    • Choice Filling: Select IMS BHU as your preferred institution during the choice-filling phase.
  • Counseling and Seat Allotment:
    • Seats are allotted based on NEET-UG rank, category, seat availability, and choices filled.
    • 85% of seats are filled through state-level counseling, and 15% through All India centralized counseling.
  • Document Verification and Admission:
    • Once allotted a seat, report to IMS BHU for document verification.
    • Submit necessary documents, including NEET-UG scorecard, admit card, 10th and 12th mark sheets, and other relevant certificates.
    • Pay the required admission fees to confirm your seat.

PG admission process

  • Qualify NEET-PG:
    • Appear for and secure the required cutoff in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG).
  • Eligibility Criteria:

    • Internship:
      • Completion of one-year compulsory rotatory internship or or before the specified date by NMC.

    • 50% of seats under All India Quota (AIQ), managed by MCC.

    • AIQ Counseling:
      • Register on the MCC website.
      • Participate in NEET-PG counseling rounds for MD/MS seat allotment.
    • State Quota Counseling:
      • Register on the DGME/DMET UP portal.
      • Participate in counseling for Uttar Pradesh state quota seats.
    • Document Verification:
      • NEET-PG Admit Card and Scorecard.
      • MBBS Degree Certificate and Mark Sheets.
