Admission Process

• Eligibility Criteria:
  • MBBS: Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, securing at least 50% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
  • MD/MS: Applicants should possess an MBBS degree recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and must have completed a one-year compulsory internship.
  • M.Sc. Programs: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant Life Science subject with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks is required. For BDS/MBBS degree holders, at least 50% aggregate marks are necessary.
  • Ph.D. Programs: A master’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks is essential.
• Entrance Examinations:
  • MBBS: Admission is based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) scores.
  • MD/MS: Selection is through NEET-PG scores.
  • M.Sc. Programs: Admissions are based on merit in the qualifying examination and an interview.
  • Ph.D. Programs: Selection involves merit in the qualifying examination and an interview.
• Application Procedure:
  • Candidates must apply online through the official Jamia Hamdard University website.
  • Register by providing personal details, including name, email address, password, and phone number.
  • Complete the application form by filling in personal, academic, and other required information.
  • Upload necessary documents as specified.
  • Pay the application fee of ₹1,212 using Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.
  • After submission, print the completed application form for future reference.
• Counseling and Seat Allotment:
  • For MBBS and MD/MS programs, candidates must participate in the respective NEET counseling processes.
  • Seats are allotted based on NEET ranks, preferences, and availability.
• Document Verification:
  • Upon seat allotment, candidates must report to HIMS Delhi for document verification.
  • Required documents include NEET admit card, NEET scorecard, 10th and 12th certificates and mark sheets, valid ID proof (PAN Card/Aadhar Card/Driving License/Passport), passport-size photographs, provisional allotment letter, caste certificate (if applicable), and PwD certificate (if applicable).
• Fee Payment and Admission Confirmation:
  • After document verification, candidates must pay the prescribed admission fees to confirm their seats.

• Reporting to the Institute:
  • Finally, candidates should report to HIMS Delhi on the specified date to commence their academic sessions.
