Counseling procedure

How do you take admission for the state quota?

After the results of NEET 2024, the prospectus and schedule for MBBS state quota admissions will be released by DME Madhya Pradesh. Its website is https://dme.mponline.gov.in/Portal/Services/DMEMP/DMEUG/Profile/ProfileLoginHome.aspx and the candidates are supposed to fill out the registration form there. In this, admission is given by DME Madhya Pradesh by conducting the first round of counseling, and the second round of counseling both of these rounds are conducted in online mode, and the mop-up round of counseling is conducted in offline mode (Physical).

After the registration, a provisional merit list of the registered candidates is issued. There is no fresh registration done in the second round of counseling. Other state candidates can participate in the second round of counseling and they have to register in the first round itself.

First Round of  Counseling

This round of counseling is conducted in online mode. After the registration, the candidate must fill in the choices and lock them. In case of not locking the choices will not be considered, and no security money is deposited in the first round. After filling out the choices, there is a provisional merit list and seat allotment will be done according to the candidate’s choice.

If a candidate has been allotted a seat in the first round of counseling then an online allotment letter will be issued after that. After going to the allotted college with that allotment letter and original documents and submitting the documents, all the admission formalities will have to be completed and the tuition fees will have to be deposited in the college.

If the candidate wants to get their seat upgraded, then they have to choose the option “yes” and then they can participate in the second round of counseling. If the candidate is satisfied with their seat they have to choose the option  “No” for the upgrade and they will not be considered for the other rounds.

The first round is not an exit round. After the seat allotment in the first round, it is necessary to join it, otherwise, the candidate will not be eligible for the second round of counseling and further counseling for all the rounds. If the candidate wants to resign from the first round joined seat, they can do it before the second round of counseling, in which case the balance amount will be refunded after deducting 10% from the tuition fees deposited. If they do not get a seat a lot in the first round, then you will have to wait for the second round.

Second Round of Counseling

The second round of counseling is conducted to fill the vacant seats after the first round of counseling. This round is conducted in online mode. In this, the seat of the first round can also be upgraded. In this round, all the candidates are required to fill the choice again. Before making the choice, the security money will have to be deposited online.

This security amount will be adjusted in the tuition fees after seat allotment, otherwise it will be given back. If the candidate has joined the seat in the second round of MCC, then they cannot participate in the second round. If the candidate does not get a seat allotted even in this round, then they have to wait for the Mop Up round. After seat allotment, the admission formalities are the same as in the first round. If the candidate does not join the allotted seat of the first round or resigns after joining then they will not be eligible for the second round counseling. If a candidate has been allotted a seat in the second round and wants to upgrade this seat, then for the upgrade in the college, you have to choose the option of “Yes” and participate in the Mop Up round.

Mop Up round of  Counseling

The special thing in the Mop Up round counseling of Madhya Pradesh state is that the candidate can upgrade the seats of the first and second rounds also. This counseling will be conducted to fill the vacant seats after the second round. All the candidates are required to fill the choice again. Before filling out the choice, security money of rupees 2 lakh and rupees 10 lakhs for NRI candidates will have to be deposited online. This security amount will be adjusted in the tuition fees after seat allotment, otherwise it will be given back. MP DME will publish the list of eligible candidates for Mop-up round counseling.
