Counseling Procedure

The application form has to be filled out by the candidate through the website: http://www.ipu.ac.in/admission2024main.php. After the results of NEET 2024, the prospectus will be released by the IPU.

According to the schedule, admission will be given by the IPU after counseling for the first round, second round, and mop-up round. After the counseling registration, online document verification will take place. In this online verification, the required documents have to be uploaded by the candidates and the IPU will verify them online. After the document verification, the choices for the first round have to be filled.

First Round Counseling:-

This round of counseling will be conducted in an online mode. If the candidate is allotted a seat in the first round of counseling they have to deposit Rs.40,000/- online. After that online allotment letter will be issued to the candidate. The candidate has to go to the allotted college with the allotment letter and original documents.

After submitting all the required documents, all the admission formalities will be completed and the balance fee has to be deposited in the college. If the candidate wants to upgrade the seat that has been allotted to them, then they have to choose the option  “YES” and participate in the next round of counseling. If the candidate is satisfied with their seat and doesn’t want to upgrade their seat then they must choose the option “NO” for upgradation in the college, after that they will not be considered for the next rounds of counseling.

Just like MCC, here also the first round is a free exit round i.e after the seat allotment in the first round if the candidate does not join it, then they will be eligible for the second round of counseling. If any candidate does not get any seat allotted in the first round then they must wait till the next round.

Second Round Counseling:-

The second round of counseling will be conducted to fill the vacant seats after the first round of counseling. New registrations will be opened in this round. The seats of the first round can also be upgraded in this round. If the candidate has joined the seat in the second round of MCC, then they cannot participate in the second round. If the candidate does not get any seat allotted in the second round of counseling too then they have to wait till the Mop-up round. After the seat allotment, the admission formalities will be as same as the first round but if the candidate has joined a seat in any college in the first round and a seat allotted in the same college in the second round also then willingness will have to be given by going to the allotted college otherwise that seat will go vacant in the Mop Up round.

Mop Up round Counseling:-

This round of counseling will be conducted to fill the vacant seats after the second round of counseling. This round of counseling will be conducted in the offline mode. IPU will publish the list of candidates who are eligible for the mop-up round of counseling and admission will be given on the spot according to the merit list and the choice of the candidate. Candidates must appear for the mop-up round of counseling conducted by ipu at the time and the place indicated to them along with the original documents and demand draft of Rs.40,000/-.

The following candidates will be eligible for a mop-up round of counseling:

  1. All those candidates are eligible who did not report or withdraw in the first and second rounds.
  2. All those candidates are eligible who have not got a seat in the first and second rounds and are waiting.

The following candidates will not be eligible for the mop-up round of counseling:

  1. Those candidates are not eligible who have withdrawn after joining the seat in the second round are not eligible.
  2. Those candidates are not eligible who have joined the seat in the first and second rounds.
  3. If you have joined the seat in the second round of MCC or another state then you cannot participate in the Mop Up round.

Stray vacancy round Counseling:-

To fill the vacant seats after the mop-up round, a stray vacancy round will be conducted. All the candidates who did not get the seat in the previous rounds are eligible for this. Candidates who joined till the Mop Up round are not eligible.
