Madhav Institute of Technology and Science (MITS), Gwalior, is one of the oldest and most prestigious engineering colleges in Madhya Pradesh, established in 1957. Spread across approximately 47 acres in Gwalior City, the institute is approved by the National Board of Accreditation and affiliated with R.G.P.V., Bhopal. Since 2002, MITS has enjoyed academic autonomy, allowing it to design its own courses. Accredited with an A++ grade by NAAC (CGPA of 3.53) and granted autonomy by UGC, New Delhi, the institute offers over 30 programs in engineering, architecture, planning, science, and management. In the NIRF 2023 rankings for engineering institutions, MITS Gwalior secured a position among the top 250 colleges. Its flagship course, B.Tech, admits students through the JEE Main Exam, with a course fee of approximately INR 1.37 Lakhs. Prominent recruiters such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and Accenture frequently hire from the institute. MITS also ranks 31st in the IIRF Architecture Rankings 2023. The institute has recently received INR 2.5 crores in funding from AICTE to establish a Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), fostering research and innovation in these emerging fields.
