Bihar Institute of Economic Development” was established in 1973 to carry out research aimed at facilitating socio-economic development. In 1975, to preserve the memory of late Lalit Narayan Mishra, the then Union Railway Minister, the Institute was renamed as “Lalit Narayan Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change (LNMI)”.Presently, the Institute offers courses in Management and Computer Science with appropriate support systems. A new building has come up adjacent to the existing building. This building will have large examination halls & well-equipped computer labs, besides additional classrooms.

Placements: Placements in our college are good. All the students at the college get equal placement opportunities. Around 50–60% of students get campus placements. The top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Cognizant, Infosys, etc. The average package offered in our course is 5–6 LPA.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of the college are superb. There are all necessary facilities, like Wi-Fi, labs, libraries, sports fields, etc., available in our college. The college has Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the entire campus. The labs at the college are properly functioning. The college has a hostel facility for both boys and girls. The hostel is safe and secure for the girls. The food in the hostel mess is of good quality.

Faculty: Yes, all the teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable at the college. Talking about the quality of teaching, it is pretty good. Of course, the curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams in this college are of a moderately difficult level. The pass percentage is 36%.

Other: I chose this course to increase job opportunities. I just want to see improvements in college management. There were various fests and events organized at our college.
