The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak has been established by an Act of the Parliament of India. It came into existence by the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007 and came into action on July 2008. The jurisdiction of the University extends to the whole country and it is fully funded by the Central Government through the University Grant Commission. The university caters to the tribals’ long cherished dream of higher education.The University is known as highest seat of learning. Good infrastructure and the best college for tourism students.

Placements: It provides excellent placement with nearly 100% students getting job offers. The highest internship package was 26000 and I was the one to grab it. The college has tie-up with companies like IRCTC, Flipkart, Odissa Tourism and several other big companies. Our alumni consists of international tourism executives and highly paid travel agents.

Infrastructure: Our college has fully air-conditioned classrooms. Sports and games facilities are also there such as a separate air-conditioned table tennis court, carrom board, and a well-equipped gym. The hostel is well maintained with proper rooms and a good canteen. The college also has an open field inside the campus for outdoor sports. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enebled.

Faculty: The teachers and faculty members are good and well educated. Most of them have recognized Ph.D. degree. Apart from this, our chairperson MS Adyasha Das is a well known author and spokes person. Dr Sabbir Hussain is the zonal officer who is also a Ph.D. holder.
