Admission to the GMC Handwara

Admission to the university requires fulfilling certain entry criteria whereby students are granted admission into the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program for medical professionals.

The most important criterion for MBBS is a Secondary School Leaving Certificate (10+2) with a strong scientific foundation, especially in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Candidates must also pass the National Eligibility Test for Undergraduate Entrance (NEET-UG) conducted nationwide.

Candidates must clear the NEET-UG exam and then attend a counseling session; seats are allotted based on their performance.  Application for NEET – UG Counselling can only be submitted online or offline through the BOPEE (conducting body).
