NMAT Exam: Important Dates, Admit Card, Exam Pattern, Syllabus

The NMAT [Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Management Aptitude Test] by GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council) is amongst India’s most revered management entrance exams. Introduced by GMAC, NMAT has earned credibility for its flexibility, fairness and focused approach. It acts as a gateway for admissions into several top management schools in India and abroad.

What is NMAT?

The NMAT by GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council) is a computer-based exam that evaluates a candidate’s aptitude vital for success in business and management education. It assesses the candidate’s ability across 3 domains: Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning. Each domain is timed separately, allowing test-takers to choose the order in which they wish to attempt them. The duration is 120 minutes and consists of 108 questions.

This assessment pattern emphasizes speed, accuracy, and critical thinking skills.

NMAT stands out from many other management entrance exams due to its candidate-friendly approach. It allows test takers to choose their preferred date, time, and location during the testing window spanning from October to December annually. NMAT also allows up to 3 attempts in one testing cycle, providing ample opportunities for improvement.
