The Directorate of Technical Education was established in 1986 by the Government of Goa. 

The directorate manages the new technical education institutions and courses in the state. They facilitate the Centralized Admission to Technical and Professional Institutes to the students of the State of Goa.

Counseling procedure

How do you take admission for the state quota?

After the result of NEET 2024, Goa Medical College will issue the prospectus for MBBS admission, and an online application form has to be filled out there. In this, admission is given by Goa Medical College by conducting first-round, second-round rounds, and mop-up round counseling. Its website is www.gmc.goa.gov.in.

Ans. The following documents are required: 

  1. Copy of Aadhaar Card  
  2. Certificate of date of birth  
  3. Recent passport-sized photographs 
  4. Statement of marks/certificate/provisional certificate of passing SSC/ 10+2  School/College leaving certificate 
  5. Copy of NEET-UG exam result 
  6. Certificate in support of residence
  7. Documents for relaxation in the period of residence, if any

Q5 What are the eligibility criteria for MBBS admissions in Goa?

Ans. The following eligibility criteria is applicable for MBBS admissions in Goa:

  • Admissions are open to Indian nationals, however, NRI students can apply under a specified quota.
  • A candidate must have completed a minimum age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the academic year for admission.
  • He/ She must have passed the 12th exam or equivalent of the Goa Board or any other recognized board.
  • Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate of subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together.
  • There will be a relaxation of 5% in aggregate for the reserved category.
  • Candidates must also qualify NEET UG exam for the academic year for admission.
