NEET UG 2025 – Eligibility Criteria, Quota of Seats, Reservation, Result Criteria, Counselling for Admission to BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, BHMS Courses

An admission into BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS courses in 2025 will be through NEET (UG), according to regulations by NCISM and NCH under the Ministry of AYUSH. They should have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% (40% for SC/ST/OBC and PwBD). Seat quota consists of AIQ (Govt./Govt.-aided/Private), State Govt., Central Universities, Deemed Universities, and NRI/Management quotas. Reservation is as per government norms. To be eligible, candidates should obtain a minimum of the 50th percentile (40th for SC/ST/OBC, 45th for PwBD). AIQ counseling shall be done by AACCC and State counseling shall be done by respective State authorities.

  • Process of Admission: Admission to all the seats in BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS courses is through NEET (UG) – 2025, according to the NCISM & NCH regulations under the Ministry of AYUSH.
  • Eligibility Conditions: Pass Class 12 with subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English by securing at least 50% marks (40% in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates). PwBD candidates shall secure at least 40% in each. Age criteria of being 17 years of age apply.
  • Quota of Seats: Seats come under various categories such as All India Quota (Government/Government-aided/Private), State Government Quota, Institutional Quota, Central Universities, National Institutes, Deemed Universities, and Management/NRI Quota.
  • Reservation Policy: SC – 15%, ST – 7.5%, OBC-NCL – 27% (Central Universities/National Institutes only), EWS – 10%, and PwBD – 5% horizontal reservation. Seats in the state quota follow the policy of the respective state government.
  • Result Criteria: The candidate has to achieve a minimum of the 50th percentile rank in NEET (UG) – 2025 (40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for PwBD in the general category) to be eligible for admission.
  • Counselling Process: AACCC will conduct counselling for Government, Government-aided, Central Universities, and Deemed Universities under All India Quota, whereas respective State authorities will conduct State quota counselling. The candidate details entered in the NEET (UG) application will be utilized for counselling without any changes.
