Admission At Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Science

UG Admission Process

Admission to various Programmes at Medical Colleges is based on the candidate’s performance in UG NEET. To ensure a seat in MBBS courses, students must fulfill all the eligibility criteria for the course they wish to opt for. If you want admission to the college, the students must fulfill unique eligibility criteria to secure admission to the Bachelor of Medication, Bachelor of Surgical Operation (MBBS) program to be ambitious and skilled professional experts.

The candidate must clear the NEET UG exam, after this, the candidate should participate in the counseling process and based on the merit of the candidate a seat will be allotted. Application for NEET – UG Counselling can only be submitted online through the Medical Counselling Committee’s official website.

Admission to MBBS is granted based on NEET-UG. Candidates must have completed 10+2 with 50% marks and have qualified NEET.

PG Admission Process

Admission to postgraduate courses at Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences is strictly based on the candidate’s performance in the NEET-PG exam. It is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and be the pre-requisite is that the applicant should have completed their MBBS degree from a recognised Medical College, finished the compulsory 1 year rotating internship with the prescribed date and must possess registration with the Medical Council/State Medical Council.

After the qualification of NEET-PG the candidates participate in a centralised counselling process. The 15% all India quota seats are allotted through counselling conducted by MCC, the 85% state quota seats are filled through Chhattisgarh Directorate of Medical Education (DME) counselling. The candidates need to register online, fill all of their required choices of colleges and specialisation and follow the schedule of the counselling as per the instructions of the authority. The allotment of seats is based solely on NEET-PG rank, reservation quota etc. After the allotment of seat, the candidates need to confirm their acceptance and report to the college within the time period.

Finally the candidates are required to complete the document verification for process all the admission formalities and pay the fees to finalize their admission.

  • 10th and 12th Mark Sheets and Certificates: For proof of qualification and date of birth.
  • Transfer Certificate (TC): Issued by the school or college last attended.
  • Migration Certificate: If applicable, for students from other boards or universities.
  • Category Certificate: For candidates applying under reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS).
  • Character Certificate: Issued by the previous institution.
  • Passport-sized Photographs: Typically 6-8 recent photographs.
  • Domicile Certificate: As proof of residence, if required.
  • Medical Fitness Certificate: A certificate confirming physical fitness for the medical program.
  • Identity Proof: Aadhaar card, passport, or other government-issued ID.
  • Allotment Letter: If admission is through centralized counseling.
  • Gap Certificate: If applicable, for candidates with a break in their studies.
