Second round of counseling  The second round of counseling is done to fill the vacant seats after the first round of counseling. This round is also conducted in online mode. About Karnataka Examinations Authority (Formerly known as CET Cell) conducts the Common Entrance Test (CET) for undergraduate students in Karnataka who wish to study engineering, medicine, dentistry, or agriculture and Post-Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) for graduate students in Karnataka who wish to pursue M.Tech, MCA or MBA courses. The choice filled is called option entry.  There are no Security fees that will be deposited in any round. First Round of Counseling  Seat allotment of the first phase is done online by KEA. If a candidate has been allocated a seat in the round then you have to deposit a one-year fee online (RTGS/NEFT), after that, you can fill out a choice again to upgrade this seat in the second round and if gets upgraded, then you do not need to deposit the fee again, it will be adjusted.  If the seat is allotted in the first round and you are not able to deposit the fee, then you are eligible for the second round, but you will not get the choice you filled in the second round above the seat allotment. You can fill in the choice below. In the first round, the candidates who get a seat alloted will have to give the following options, which is called Choice Entry:-  Choice No. 01 – If you are satisfied with the allotted seat in the first round and do not want to participate in the next round, then you have to choose Choice No. 01 to be filled. In this, you have to deposit one one-year fee online (RTGS / NEFT). After making this choice, you cannot participate in the next rounds. Choice No. 02 – If you want to upgrade the allotted seat in the first round, then you have to choose Choice No. 02 to be filled. In this, you have to deposit one one-year fee online (RTGS / NEFT) and then you can participate in the second round. If your seat gets upgraded, then you do not need to deposit the fee again, it will be adjusted. In case of no seat upgrade, the previous seat will remain the same.  Choice No. 03 – If you are not satisfied with the allotted seat in the first round and want to participate in the next round, then you have to choose Choice No. 03 to be filled. You do not need to deposit fees in this round. After making this choice, you can participate in the second round. All choices filled in the first round will be available for the second round but you will not get the allotted seat of the first round.  Choice No. 04 – If you are not satisfied with the allotted seat in the first round and do not want to participate in the next round, then you have to choose option no. 04 to be filled. After this, you will be out of further counseling. Second Round of counseling  The candidates who had not registered for the first round, re-opened the registration in the second round for those candidates. The security money is also not deposited in the first and second rounds. First Round Counseling:-  The first round of counseling is done online mode and the first round is not a free exit round. To download the Provisional Allotment Order, a candidate must indicate their wish for an upgrade for the next round of counseling if they were given a seat in the first round and are unhappy with the college and branch they were assigned.  An applicant will not be considered for the next counseling round if he or she does not indicate that they would like to advance to the following one. The name and date of reporting to the nodal center for the document verification will be mentioned in the provisional letter downloaded by the candidate according to that the candidate has to go to the respective nodal center to get their documents verified.  If any candidate fails to get their documents verified by the due date they will be considered ineligible for the next round and the allotted seat will be considered vacant. If any candidate does not get any seat allocated in the first round they will have to wait for the next round of counseling. If the candidate has expressed his desire for Upgradation for the next round and after getting his Document Verification done by going to the Reporting / Nodal Center, if he is willing to enroll in his allotted institute, then submit his original certificate to the concerned reporting / nodal center.  You can enroll or take back the signed Document Verification Slip with your original certificate and in the next round you can take all the original certificates along with the signed Document Verification at the designated Reporting / Nodal Center for enrollment on the allotted seat. It will be necessary to bring a slip. Second Round Counseling: The second round of counseling is conducted to fill the vacant seats after the first round of counseling. Round 2 is done in an online mode. If the candidate has joined the seat in the second round of MCC then they cannot participate in the second round of counseling of Bihar state.  The fresh registration will not be done in the second round of counseling; the seats will be allotted based on the choices filled in the first round of counseling. The candidates who have already been admitted elsewhere in India, then they are not eligible for counseling for this mop-up round.  For the mop-up round, the candidates have to do fresh registration by paying registration fees. If in this round a candidate gets a seat in a government medical/dental college, then the document verification will be done on the same day and tuition fees will have to be deposited.  If the candidate wishes to be admitted to a private medical college, then they have to take a DD of Rs. 12 lakh. For admission to a private dental college, a DD of Rs. 50,000/- has to be carried. If the candidate gets a private medical/dental college seat allotted then the document verification will be done on the same day and this DD will have to be submitted.
