The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has officially released the schedule for the 1st round of counselling for admission into MBBS and BDS courses under State Quota seats in Government Medical and Dental Colleges.

Who Can Apply for Assam MBBS/BDS 2025 Counselling?
Students who have:
- Qualified NEET-UG 2025
- Are eligible under “The Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into 1st year MBBS/BDS courses) Rules 2017 (Amended 2025)”
- Belong to Assam’s State Quota
- Fall under General, PwD, SC, ST, OBC/MOBC (Non-Creamy Layer), TGL/Ex-TGL, Moran, Motak, and other recognised reserved categories
All eligible candidates must participate in online registration and choice filling. No separate offline counselling will be conducted.
Special Quota Verification (18 July 2025)
Candidates applying for Assam MBBS/BDS 2025 Counselling under these categories:
- Freedom Fighters
- Martyrs of Assam Movement
- Extremist Violence Victims
- Ex-servicemen & Serving Defence Personnel
- Sports Quota
must appear physically for document verification on 18 July 2025 at the DME office in Guwahati. If eligible, they will also need to participate in the online counselling process.
Important Instructions
- One-time online registration is compulsory.
- Choice locking is crucial. If you miss locking your choices, the system will automatically lock your preferences.
- Keep all annexures and documents (as per MBBS/BDS admission rule amendments) ready.
- Candidates from OBC/MOBC Creamy Layer must apply under the General Category.
