Local vs. Unreserved Seats—Who Gets What?

  • 85% of seats are reserved for local candidates
  • The remaining 15% are unreserved and open to eligible candidates from across Andhra Pradesh (and in some cases, beyond)

Your local status depends on where you’ve studied or lived during key school years. Carefully check the rules before selecting your category.

Expert Tips from Radical Education

  • Start early, don’t wait till the last date– We always tell students, technical glitches, last-minute panic, and missing documents are real. The earlier you apply, the more peace of mind you’ll have.
  • Keep both original and scanned copies ready– Don’t wait for the last minute to scan your certificates. Make a folder with PDFs named clearly and keep a copy of each document with you when college reporting begins.
  • Don’t rely on friends or social media advice alone– It’s tempting to go with what you hear in WhatsApp groups. But admission rules change each year. Always refer to the official notification or ask your counsellor directly before assuming anything.
  • Be honest on the form—don’t try to ‘adjust’ details. Every year, some students try to tweak names, addresses, or marks to fit a category. It backfires. The application is cross-verified against original documents. Be truthful—it’s your safest bet.

FAQs

Sadly, no. The form doesn’t allow edits after submission. So before you hit “submit,” pause, take a deep breath, and double-check every detail. Especially your NEET roll number, category, and uploaded documents.
