Eligibility Criteria for BDS Admission in India

The Students Before applying for the Admission Procedure of BDS in India must must have the following eligibility criteria:

Admission Procedure of BDS in India

1. Appear for NEET-UG Exam

The Admission Process of BDS in India starts with qualifying the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). NEET is the sole entrance test for BDS admission in India which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

2. Verify NEET Cut-Off & Results

NTA releases the results along with cutoff marks after the exam. Candidates need to obtain the minimum qualifying percentile to qualify for counselling.

3. Register for Counseling (NEET UG Counseling)

The Admission Procedure of BDS in India involves two types of counseling:

  • State Quota Counseling –It is Conducted by respective state authorities for 85% state quota seats.
  • All India Quota (AIQ) Counseling – It is Conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) for 15% AIQ seats.

4. Choice Filling & Seat Allotment

The Candidates need to fill their choice of colleges in counseling. Seats are allotted based on NEET rank, preferences & availability of seats.

5. Document Verification & Admission Confirmation

Once seats are allotted the candidates need to produce documents for verification & pay admission charges to confirm their seat.
