Pragjyotishpur Medical College and Hospital is a newly established government medical college located in Guwahati, Assam. It was started in 2025 and is the second medical college in the city after GMCH. It is named after the ancient name of Guwahati, and the college aims to provide quality medical education and healthcare. It has two campuses
- Panbazar and
- Kalapahar has modern facilities, including over 500 hospital beds, ICUs, and operating theatres. The college admits 100 MBBS students every year.
- It helps reduce the patient load on GMCH and supports Assam’s goal of improving medical education and health services across the state.
