NEET PG Counselling 2025: Registration Process, Reservation & Seat Matrix

The counseling process for NEET PG 2025 will be conducted exclusively online for the allocation of seats. The specific dates for NEET PG 2025 counseling will be announced alongside the official information brochure. Tentatively, the counseling for NEET PG 2025 is expected to take place in the initial week of August 2025. It is vital to mention that the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) is responsible for organizing the counseling for the distribution of 50% of the All India quota seats. The examination is set for August 3. The results of NEET PG 2025 will be released by September 3, 2025.

Candidates who pass the NEET PG 2025 with a minimum cutoff percentile established by MCC will qualify for the seat allocation process. The NEET PG counseling process will consist of online registration, fee payment, declaration of preferences, announcement of seat allotment results, and reporting.

Neet PG Counselling Process

Once students qualify for NEET PG 2025 with the minimum cut-off percentile, they can attend the counselling process. NEET PG counselling is conducted for 50% All India Quota seats and 100% deemed/central universities, ESIC, and AFMS seats. There are four rounds of NEET PG counselling 2025 that will be conducted by MCC for the aforementioned seats. The remaining 50% AIQ seats will be counseled by the respective State authorities. The counselling process consists of online registrations until candidates report at their allotted institute with all documents.

The counselling of NEET PG is conducted for the following quotas:

  • 50% All India Quota seats
  • 50% State Quota seats
  • Armed Forces Medical Services
  • Deemed Universities
  • Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU)
  • ESIC colleges

Neet PG Counselling Process Registration

Candidates willing to enroll in the counselling for NEET PG 2025 must enroll on the official website of MCC. New enrollment is done before each round. Candidates who have enrolled once for NEET PG counselling 2025 do not have to register a second time.

The enrollment steps to register for NEET PG 2025 counselling are as follows:

  • Visit the official website https://mcc.nic.in/pg-medical-counselling/
  • Click on ‘PG Medical Counselling’ Register using a valid email ID and mobile number
  • Write down the login details. Log in again to fill out the application
  • Enter the personal/academic details.
  • Check the form before final submission. Registration fee.
  • For a candidate to be able to participate in NEET PG 2025 counselling, a registration fee has to be paid. 

For Neet PG Counselling, the registration fee has to be paid online (Net banking/credit card/debit card). The registration fee has both a refundable and a non-refundable components.

Neet PG Counselling: Seats matrix

The seat matrix of NEET PG 2025 refers to the total number of seats reported under each speciality course. The seats’ matrix also provides information about the available seats under a particular category of candidates. It is published before each round for NEET PG counselling 2024. Candidates should refer to this document before making choices in the preference form. This will help them understand their chances of getting the speciality they desire with their score. 

Reservation of NEET PG 2025

Final seat allocation will be carried out based on the reservation criteria for the NEET PG 2025 exam. Candidates will get a 27 per cent OBC quota and a 10 per cent EWS quota for admission from the 50 per cent All India Quota seats. They would be required to produce relevant certificates for taking advantage of the NEET PG 2025 reservation criteria as admission gets finalised.
