Assam MBBS/BDS 2025 Counselling Begins: The dream of pursuing MBBS or BDS is one step closer for NEET-UG 2025 qualified students from Assam. The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has officially released the schedule for the 1st round of counselling for admission into MBBS and BDS courses under State Quota seats in Government Medical and Dental Colleges.

If you’re eligible, this is your golden window to secure a medical seat in the state. But with deadlines, documents, and procedures to track, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Don’t worry—this blog is here to break it all down in a simple, student-friendly way.

Who Can Apply for Assam MBBS/BDS 2025 Counselling?

Students who have:

  • Qualified NEET-UG 2025
  • Are eligible under “The Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into 1st year MBBS/BDS courses) Rules 2017 (Amended 2025)”
  • Belong to Assam’s State Quota
  • Fall under General, PwD, SC, ST, OBC/MOBC (Non-Creamy Layer), TGL/Ex-TGL, Moran, Motak, and other recognised reserved categories

All eligible candidates must participate in online registration and choice filling. No separate offline counselling will be conducted.

Special Quota Verification (18 July 2025)

Candidates applying for Assam MBBS/BDS 2025 Counselling under these categories:

  • Freedom Fighters
  • Martyrs of Assam Movement
  • Extremist Violence Victims
  • Ex-servicemen & Serving Defence Personnel
  • Sports Quota

must appear physically for document verification on 18 July 2025 at the DME office in Guwahati. If eligible, they will also need to participate in the online counselling process.
