BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) is the first degree in the Ayurvedic medical and surgical system, which has been treating humanity for thousands of years. The duration of this course is around 4.5 years plus a 1-year internship with live practical exposure.

BAMS Admission is a bachelor’s degree course offered in India. It is a full-time (4+ years) + 1-year internship course on Ayurveda, the holistic and ancient branch of medicine that focuses on preventive and curative health care. Ayurveda involves nutrition and lifestyle, herbal therapy, surgery, and yoga. A BAMS degree course will teach you how to diagnose and cure people of various diseases

Eligibility Criteria For BAMS

The most basic criteria for admission to the BAMS course is qualifying for the 10+2 examination in a science stream

• In 12th grade, the candidate should score 50% in disciplines such as physics, chemistry, and biology.
• The candidate must pass a national-level entrance examination, such as NEET UG (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test).
• The candidate is chosen based on a standardized counselling process and overall merit, which is computed using the total number of points gained in the qualifying examination (12th grade) and the cut-off points obtained in the admission exams

• The NEET-UG is done to get admission to the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery course.
