Marks vs. Percentile Analysis:
The relationship between raw marks and percentile scores varies annually based on the exam’s difficulty level and candidate performance. Generally, higher raw scores correspond to higher percentile scores. For instance, a candidate scoring between 280-300 marks might achieve a percentile above 99.5, while those with marks between 150-160 might secure a percentile around 90. It’s important to note that these figures are illustrative; actual conversions depend on the specific year’s data.
Rank List:
NTA prepares a rank list based on the percentile scores of candidates. In cases where a candidate appears for both sessions of JEE Main, the better of the two percentile scores is considered for ranking. Cut-off Details:
The qualifying cut-off marks for JEE Advanced will be released after the conclusion of Session 2. These cut-offs vary each year based on factors like the number of candidates, exam difficulty, and seat availability. Candidates meeting the cut-off criteria become eligible to appear for JEE Advanced, the next stage for admission into Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
What is the NTA JEE Main Percentile Score?
Percentile ratings are based on the relative performance of all candidates taking the exam. Scores are taken after calculating the ratings for each test session in the range of 100 to 0.
According to the official website, “The percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates who score equal or lower than the raw exam questions on this exam. Therefore, the top scorer for each exam is the highest. ) scores the same percentile out of 100, which is desirable.” Any performance between the highest and lowest scores will also be converted to the corresponding percentile.
Jee Main 2025 Final Result
The final result of Jee Main 2025 will be announced taking into consideration the best results of the January and April meetings. If a candidate appears in both the meetings of JEE Main, the best score from all the two sessions will be used to determine the All India rank. The final result of JEE Main contains details about the candidate’s All India rank and the minimum points in JEE Advanced 2025. This year, JEE Main will be conducted by NTA in two sessions h.
