

Central Health Education Bureau, New Delhi
The Central Health Education Bureau (C.H.E.B.) was established in 1956. The Advertising Department of the Directorate General of Health Services, which had already existed for some years, was merged with this newly established institute. Starting in 1956 with one department and a few employees, the office gradually expanded in size and activity to include seven departments and an administrative department with trained technical staff.
The objectives and functions of the Ministry of Health include educating the public on health plans and programs, training health professionals, developing and providing health education/IEC materials, conducting research activities on health behavior, providing technical assistance to governmental and non-governmental organizations in the field of health education, developing curricula for various target groups, and collaborating with international organizations in promoting health education.

Admission to the Central Health Education Bureau
