Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- Candidates must be at least 17 years of age.
- The candidate must have passed/appeared in the class 12 examination under the 10+2 scheme/senior school certificate examination (CBSE) or an equivalent exam of a recognized university/board of any Indian State with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects.
- Applicants must be physically fit (except for those applying under the physically handicapped category) and must submit a certificate of medical fitness at the time of admission.
- He/she will have to undergo a medical examination at GB Pant Hospital of ANIIMS during the admission process.
- The admission will be done based on the NEET UG score. The candidate needs to be included in the Andaman and Nicobar NEET merit list by securing the minimum qualifying percentile.

Bond Details
The candidates are required to serve in the Islands for at least one year and have to furnish an undertaking to this effect (Appendix I, available on official website) and will sign a bond on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 100/- as per (Appendix H, available on official website) that, he will serve the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Administration for one year, failing which he/she will be required to pay Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees ten lakhs only) for the default.

Counseling procedure
How to take admission for the state quota?
After the NEET 2024 results, the prospectus for MBBS/BDS admissions will be released by the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences, and from there the application form has to be filled out online. In this, only the students from Andaman & Nicobar Islands are eligible. Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences gives admission by conducting first-round, second-round, and mop-up round counseling.
First round of counseling
The first round of seat allotment is conducted in online mode. After the registration according to the given schedule, the list of eligible candidates will be released. After that, the candidates have to fill in their preferred choices. According to the merit and choices filled by candidates, the seats will be allotted in the first round, and a list of allotted candidates will be released on the website. After the seat allotment, the candidate has to report to the allotted college along with all the original documents.
Second Round of counseling
The second round of counseling is also conducted in online mode. In this new registration, the registrations will be opened again, candidates who had not registered in the first round can register in this round. round. Mop up round of counseling
Mop up round of counseling is conducted to fill the vacant seats after the first and second rounds of counseling. This round of counseling is conducted in an offline mode. Candidates can also participate in this round for the upgrade. Counseling fees of Rs. 1000/- will have to be paid.
