The college was built in memory of the 1st Lady Governess of India, Sarojini Naidu. The college is allied with Dr BR Ambedkar University and certified by the National Medical Commission (NMC). SN Medical College has a huge campus that includes a hospital and a college. It is one of the first three oldest Medical Schools in the country.
