GITAM Institute of Medical Science and Research (GIMSR) was established in 2015 by GIMSR Hospital to become a prestigious medical college that awarded its first undergraduate degree in 2015. With 600 graduates and new postgraduate programs, GIMSR is the pioneer in Andhra Pradesh. A private medical college located in Visakhapatnam next to GITAM (Deemed University). The institute offers a serene environment with modern facilities and attracts students from all states of India. Admission Process

• Eligibility Criteria:
  • Age: Minimum 17 years as of December 31 of the admission year; no maximum age limit.
  • Educational Qualifications: Completion of 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English, meeting the minimum marks required by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
  • NEET-UG Qualification: Candidates must qualify the NEET-UG examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
• Application Process:
  • NEET-UG Registration: Register and appear for the NEET-UG examination.
  • Counseling Registration: After qualifying NEET-UG, register for the counseling process conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) for Deemed Universities.
  • Choice Filling: Select GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (GIMSR) as a preferred choice during the counseling process.
• Selection Process:
  • Merit-Based Allotment: Seats are allotted based on NEET-UG rank, preferences filled, and availability of seats.
  • Provisional Allotment Letter: If allotted a seat, download the provisional allotment letter from the MCC portal.
• Reporting to GIMSR:
  • Physical Reporting: Report to GIMSR within the stipulated time frame with all necessary documents and fee receipts to complete the admission formalities.
  • Document Verification: Present original documents such as NEET-UG admit card, scorecard, 10th and 12th mark sheets, transfer certificate, and other relevant certificates for verification.
• Fee Payment:
  • Tuition Fee: Pay the prescribed tuition fee as per the college’s fee structure to confirm the seat.
• Commencement of Classes:
  • Academic Schedule: Attend the orientation program and commence classes as per the academic calendar issued by the college.
