The Employees’ State Insurance Scheme of India (ESIC) is a multi-faceted Social Security Scheme designed to provide socio-economic protection to ’employees’ in the organized sector. ESIC Scheme is administered by a statutory corporate body called the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation. Employee’s State Insurance Corporation medical colleges and hospitals are the medical institutions operating under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the government of India.
There are different ESIC hospitals and medical colleges situated all over India.
ESIC medical colleges offer different courses in medical sciences for both undergraduates and postgraduates. These colleges offer MBBS courses at the UG level and M.D and M.S. courses at the PG level.
Three types of quotas are as follows:
a) All India Quota– In this quota all the students are eligible.
b) ESI Quota– In this only the wards of the Insured Person are eligible, who have Ward of IP Certificate.
c) State Quota- For this, only the candidates residing in the state where there is ESIC College are eligible.

Counseling procedure
Percentage Of Insured People Quota Seats Out Of State Quota Seats Reserved For Insured Persons Students Are Domicile Free, And Counseling For The Same is Conducted By MCC as Per ESIC Standards.
There will be four rounds of counseling i.e. round 1, round 2, mop-up round, and online stray vacancy round for ESIC which is conducted by MCC. All the candidates who have qualified for NEET-UG based on their rank in NEET UG conducted by NTA are eligible. all the eligible candidates must download the rank letter /result from the NTA website. The NTA website is https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/ Candidates must refer to it.
The reservation policy for ESIC insured person quota is as follows:
- SC-15%
- ST-7.5%
- O.B.C.-(Non-creamy layer) as per the central OBC list-27%
- EWS – as per central government norms-10%
- PwD- horizontal reservation as per NMC norms-5%
