Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC)
The Employees’ State Insurance Scheme of India (ESIC) is a multi-faceted Social Security Scheme designed to provide socio-economic protection to ’employees’ in the organized sector. Employees’ State Insurance Scheme of India is administered by a statutory corporate body called the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation. Employee’s State Insurance Corporation medical colleges and hospitals are the medical institutions operating under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the government of India.
There are different ESIC hospitals and medical colleges situated all over India.
ESIC medical colleges offer different medical sciences courses for undergraduates and postgraduates. These colleges offer MBBS courses at the UG level and M.D and M.S. courses at the PG level.
Three types of quotas are as follows:
a) All India Quota– In this quota all the students are eligible.
b) ESI Quota– In this only the wards of the Insured Person are eligible, who have Ward of IP Certificate.
c) State Quota- For this, only the candidates residing in the state where there is an ESIC College are eligible.

Counseling procedure
Percentage Of Insured People Quota Seats Out Of State Quota Seats Reserved For Insured Persons Students Are Domicile Free, And Counseling For The Same is Conducted By MCC as Per ESIC Standards.
There will be four rounds of counseling i.e. round 1, round 2, mop-up round, and online stray vacancy round, which is conducted by MCC. All the candidates who have qualified for NEET-UG based on their rank in NEET UG conducted by NTA are eligible. all the eligible candidates must download the rank letter /result from the NTA website. The NTA website is https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/ Candidates must refer to it.
The reservation policy for ESIC insured person quota is as follows:
- SC-15%
- ST-7.5%
- O.B.C.-(Non-creamy layer) as per the central OBC list-27%
- EWS – as per central government norms-10%
- PwD- horizontal reservation as per NMC norms-5%
Reservation Of Seats Under PWD Category Is 5% & As Per NMC Norms (Gazette Notification No. MCI-34(41)/2018-Med./170045 Dated 04/02/2019).
Candidates Who Want To Avail 5% PwD Reservation In UG Seats Of Govt./Central Medical Institutions Should Obtain Disability Certificate As Per NMC Norms (Gazette Notification No. MCI-34(41)/2018-Med./170045 Dated 04/02/2019), From The Designated Disability Centers.

What documents are required for MBBS counseling in ESIC colleges?
Ans. The following documents are required and relevant under ESI :
- Two Passport size photographs of the IP
- Copy of ESI Card
- Copy of documents in r/o employee/IP
- Candidate in receipt of Dependents Benefit.
- IP in receipt of PDB of 40% or more
- Copy of Affidavits for Female Candidates These documents are to be submitted to the
candidate. Relevant to Candidate (Ward of IP)
- Two Passport size photographs of the War of IP (Candidate)
- Copy of NEET Admit Card Containing NEET Roll No. of 2024 Exam.
- Copy of Proof of RESIdence
- Copy of School Certificate for proof of Date of Birth/ Birth Certificate.
- Copy of 10+2 Certificate.
- Copy of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PH Certificate – If applicable
