Established in 1997, Kathmandu Medical College is a private medical college in Nepal. The Kathmandu Medical College is permanently affiliated with Kathmandu University and fully recognized by the Medical Council of Nepal, the Sri Lankan Medical Council, the General Medical Council (UK), and the Medical Council of India. Kathmandu Medical College functions from two complexes – Duwakot Basic Sciences and Sinamangal Clinical Sciences. The Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital, located within the ring road and just near the airport, Kathmandu medical college is in a position of easy access.
Prof. Dr Chanda Karki, a renowned Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the country, former Departmental Head of Obstetrics and gynaecology of the Kathmandu Medical College, and the past President of Nepal Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist, is the Principal of Kathmandu medical college. Dr. Mukund Raj Joshi is the Director of the Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital. Several of our teaching staff have had considerable teaching experience in Medical Colleges in India and abroad including Kathmandu Medical College.
Kathmandu Medical College is permanently affiliated with Kathmandu University and fully recognized by the Nepal Medical Council (NMC) and the Sri Lanka Medical Council. The working experience at Kathmandu Medical College is recognized to enable doctors to sit in the postgraduate entrance examinations held by other universities inside & abroad. Kathmandu Medical College functions from two complexes – basic sciences at Duwakot, Bhaktapur, and clinical sciences at Sinamangal. The main hospital of Kathmandu Medical College is located in Sinamangal near The Tribhuvan International Airport. Besides Kathmandu Medical College, a community hospital is built near the basic science campus in Duwakot. Emergency service and General OPD Service have already started at Kathmandu Medical College on the first and second floor of the 11-storeyed building of Duwakot.

- Hospital: Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital (KMCTH) has 40 Neonatal Intensive Care beds, 160 Intensive Care beds and 750 general beds. It also has two jet catheterization laboratories, 3 Tesla MRIs, and 128 slice CT scans. The hospital performs organ transplantation programs, robotic neurosurgery, and other advanced surgical operations.
- College complex: The university campus has a library, cafeteria, medical laboratories, and two classrooms. The library has two sections: basic research and analytical research.

Admission Process:
- Visit the official website of the University and fill out the application form.
