NEET (UG) serves as the national passway for aspiring students seeking admission to undergraduate medical courses, including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, and BHMS. Administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Education, NEET (UG) is obligatory for those wanting to pursue medical, dental, Indian system of medicine, and military nursing service courses.
Comprising 200 multiple-choice questions in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, the exam offers linguistic flexibility with availability in 13 languages, for diverse linguistic options.

For NEET (UG) – 2024, applicants must only use the online application mode through the NTA website. The application window opens on February 9 and closes on March 9, 2024. The exam is scheduled for May 5, 2024, with results declaration on June 14, 2024.
Application fees vary: ₹1700 for General category, ₹1600 for General-EWS/OBC-NCL, and ₹1000 for SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender applicants. Solely one application per candidate is allowed, and strict adherence to instructions outlined in the Information Bulletin and on the NTA website is needed to prevent disqualification. Candidates must have a valid and personal email address and mobile number, through which all communication will take place.
