Government Medical College, Amritsar https://www.gmc.edu.in/is one of the oldest and most prestigious medical institutions in North India. The foundation of the college dates back to 1864, when it was originally established as Temple Medical School, making it one of the earliest center of modern medical education in India.In 1928, the institution was upgraded and formally renamed Government Medical College, Amritsar, marking a major milestone in its academic journey. Since then, the college has played a significant role in producing generations of skilled doctors who have contributed extensively to India’s healthcare system.

Today, the institution functions under the Government of Punjab and is affiliated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, while being fully recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Admissions Process

NEET-UG

  • Eligibility Criteria:
