Admission Process

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Age: Must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year
    • Educational Qualification:
      • Completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
      • Minimum aggregate marks in PCB:
  • Entrance Examination:
    • NEET-UG: Appear for and qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  • Application Process:
    • Registration: After NEET-UG results are declared, register for the centralized counseling process conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
    • Choice Filling: Select KGMU as your preferred institution during the choice-filling phase.
  • Counseling and Seat Allotment:
    • Seats are allotted based on NEET-UG rank, category, seat availability, and choices filled.
    • KGMU offers 250 MBBS seats through NEET UP counseling.
  • Document Verification and Admission:
    • Once allotted a seat, report to KGMU for document verification.
    • Submit necessary documents, including NEET-UG scorecard, admit card, 10th and 12th mark sheets, and other relevant certificates.
    • Pay the required admission fees to confirm your seat.
