There are two government medical colleges in Puducherry and 3 private colleges. Puducherry is an open state. Candidates from other states can also be admitted to the Private Medical Colleges. There are around 2810* beds in government medical colleges and around 950-1000* beds in private medical colleges.

Eligibility criteria:

1. Candidates must have passed their 10+2 examination or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
2. Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, Zoology, Botany, and English as their compulsory subjects. 
3. Candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks in case of reserved category) to seek Pondicherry MBBS Admission 2024. 
4. Candidates who are Indian nationals and residents of Puducherry can apply for Pondicherry MBBS Admission 2024.
