There are 22 government and 36 private medical colleges in Karnataka. It is an open state which means that candidates from other states can take admissions in private medical colleges there and this quota is called an open quota. It is an open state which means that candidates from other states can take admission under the management quota. There are around 16,461 beds in private medical colleges.
