There is only one government medical college in Goa that is Goa Medical College with a total of 180 seats for MBBS courses. It is recognized by Goa University. In Goa, the counseling procedure is conducted by Goa Medical College. 

Eligibility criteria:

• Admissions are open to Indian nationals, however, NRI students can apply under a specified quota.
• A candidate must have completed a minimum age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the academic year for admission.
• He/ She must have passed the 12th exam or equivalent of the Goa Board or any other recognized board.
• Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate of subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together.
• There will be a relaxation of 5% in aggregate for the reserved category.
• Candidates must also qualify NEET UG exam for the academic year for admission.
