About

Jharkhand combined entrance competitive examination board was established under section 85 Bihar Constituted Act, 2000. The Government of Jharkhand has assigned the responsibility of conducting entrance tests for admission into various Institutions in the state. J.C.E.C.E.B. presently organizes the following entrance tests annually (depending upon the approval granted by the respective Departments of Govt. of Jharkhand for the respective session.) 

Eligibility criteria

  • Candidates must have passed their 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate marks.
  • Candidates must be from the Science stream with Biology as a compulsory subject to apply for Jharkhand MBBS Admission.
  • Candidates must have a valid NEET scorecard and admit card.

Counseling procedure

How do you take admission for the state quota? 

After the result declaration of NEET 2024, the admission prospectus will be released by the Jharkhand combined entrance competitive examination board. The candidate must refer to the website https://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in/ and must fill out the online registration form. The application form registration fee is Rs.500/- for the candidates from the general/EWS/BC category and Rs.250 for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, and female candidates from all categories. There are no registration fees for candidates with a disability.  

The counseling fee for the candidates belonging to the general/EWS/BC  category is Rs.1000/- and Rs. 500/- for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, female candidates from all categories, and candidates with disability. 

After the online registration, the list of eligible candidates will be released by the Jharkhand combined entrance competitive examination board and the allotment will be done accordingly based on the merit and choices filled by the candidate. In this, the admission will be given by the Jharkhand combined entrance competitive examination board by conducting the counseling of first, second, and mopup rounds.

First Round counseling:

The seat allotment of the first round takes place online mode. After the registration on the given schedule, the choices are to be filled by the candidate. After seat allotment in the first round of counseling the candidate must download the allotment letter from the website and after that the document verification will be done in the college and the admission formalities will be completed.

Second round counseling:

After the first round of counseling, the second round of counseling is conducted to fill the vacant seats. This round is also conducted in an online mode. In this round new registration will be opened again. 

After the registration, the merit list will be reissued for the second round, after that the choices are to be filled by the candidates.

After the seat is allotted in the second round the candidate has to download the allotment letter from the website and after that the document verification will be done in the college and the admission formalities will be completed. 

The candidates who have joined the seat in the first round can also participate in this round to get their seats upgraded. 

Mop up round counseling:

After the second round of counseling, a mop-up round is conducted to fill the vacant seats. This round is also conducted in online mode. In this round to the registration will be opened again, candidates who have registered in the second round can register in this round. 

The merit list will be reissued for the mop-up round. After the seat is allotted in the second round the candidate has to download the allotment letter from the website and after that the document verification will be done in the college and the admission formalities will be completed. 

The candidates who have joined the seat in the first or second round can also participate in this round to get their seats upgraded.
