This institute is a renowned Ayurveda College and the oldest Ayurveda institute in India, with a long history of Ayurveda education. This institute was founded in 1916 as a “Rajkiya Ayurveda Vidyalaya” (state Ayurveda school). In the early years, plans were made to start two-year diploma courses in Ayurveda Upadhyaya, Ayurveda Shastri, and Ayurvedacharya. GAC Gwalior is affiliated with the Jiwaji University Gwalior and is approved by the National Commission for Indian System Of Medicine- NCISM.
