Admission to the GMC Jammu

Admission to the university requires fulfilling certain entry criteria whereby students are granted admission into the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program for medical professionals.

The most important criterion for MBBS is a Secondary School Leaving Certificate (10+2) with a strong scientific foundation, especially in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Candidates must also pass the National Eligibility Test for Undergraduate Entrance (NEET-UG) conducted across the country.

Candidates must clear the NEET-UG exam and then attend a counseling session and seats are allotted based on their performance.  Application for NEET – UG Counselling can only be submitted online or offline through the BOPEE (conducting body).

Moreover, the transparency and fairness of the admission process underpins our commitment to providing equal opportunities to all qualified applicants. The next steps are seat allocation, document verification, and fee payment, and the final step is confirmation of admission.
