Andaman and Nicobar Islands has only one government medical college i.e. Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences, Port Blair and it is affiliated with Pondicherry University. In this, only candidates from Andaman & Nicobar Islands can take admissions.

Eligibility criteria: 

• The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
• Candidates must be at least 17 years of age.
• The candidate must have passed/appeared in the class 12 examination under the 10+2 scheme/senior school certificate examination (CBSE) or an equivalent exam of a recognized university/board of any Indian State with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects.
• Applicants must be physically fit (except for those applying under the physically handicapped category) and must submit a certificate of medical fitness at the time of admission.
• He/she will have to undergo a medical examination at GB Pant Hospital of ANIIMS during the admission process.
• The admission will be done based on the NEET UG score. The candidate needs to be included in the Andaman and Nicobar NEET merit list by securing the minimum qualifying percentile.
