Established in 1864 during the British India era as Glancy Medical College in Lahore, Government Medical College, Amritsar , Punjab (GMC, Amritsar) was later relocated to Amritsar, India, in 1920. The Institute was established in 1943 and is one of the oldest colleges in Punjab. The college is one of the leading Medical Colleges in Punjab. The College is affiliated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, and certified by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Admissions Process
