About 

Kaloji Narayana Rao University is a state university that was established in 2014 in Warangal. This university is recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC)  and the Medical Council of India (MCI). There are more than 160 government and private affiliated colleges. This university offers UG, PG, super specialty, doctoral, and post-doctoral fellowships as well under several branches of health sciences such as allopathy, dental surgery, homeopathy, Indian systems of medicine, and paramedical. These courses are offered under 11 different streams, namely Modern Medicine, Dental, Ayurvedic, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Unani, Physiotherapy, Nursing, and more. MPH (Indian Institute Of Public Health) & MSc Nutrition(NIN) and fellowship courses in various institutions are also affiliated with KNR UHS, Warangal.

Eligibility criteria

1. The candidate should be an Indian National or a Person of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and must fulfill the local or non-local status

in Telangana (residential requirement) as per the rules laid down by the Andhra Government.

2. The candidate must have passed the 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Biotechnology, and

English.

3. OC candidates, including those seeking EWS reservation, should obtain not less than 50% marks in science subjects.

4. BC/SC/ST candidates should obtain not less than 40% marks in science subjects. OC PH candidates should obtain not less than 45% marks in science

subjects.

5. The candidates must secure marks of cut-off scores or above in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) UG-2024 conducted by NTA.

6. The candidate should be 17 years of age.

Counseling procedure

How do you take admission for the state quota?

The admission Prospectus and schedule for MBBS and BDS admission will be issued by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences Telangana State, Warangal after the result of NEET 2024. Its website is http://knruhs.telangana.gov.in and an online application form has to be filled out there. Registration for the competitive authority quota will start first, and after that registration for category B (Management quota). Documents have to be uploaded at the time of registration which will be verified by KNR University. After this, the final merit list is published. KNR University gives admission by conducting first-round counseling, second-round counseling, and mop-up-round counseling online.

First round of counseling 

First Round The first phase of seat allotment is online, which is called web-based counseling. All the eligible candidates whose names are on the merit list have to fill in the choice on the website of KNR University, which is called the exercise web option. After filling out the choice, the list of selected candidates will be published. After the seat allotment, the candidate has to pay the university fees of Rs 10,000/- online on the website, after downloading the allotment letter and reporting to the allotted college on the given schedule along with original documents tuition fees may be deposited at the allotted college. If a candidate has been allotted a seat in the first round and does not join it, then he will not be eligible for the further round of counseling (Second, mop-up round).

Second Round of Counseling 

The seat allotment of the second round is also online. It also has the same conditions as the first round. In management quota, if the candidate gets a seat allotted till the second round then they have to join it after that if they want to leave the seat for some reason they can leave till the timeframe given by KNR university for free exit no penalty will be given on this. If you leave the allotted seat after the time given for free exit, then you will have to pay a penalty of Rs 3 lakh for this.

Mop Up round of counseling 

The seat allotment of Mop Up round is also online. It also has the same conditions as the second round. The candidate who has been allotted a seat till the second round and does not join the allotted seat, then he will not be eligible for the Mop Up round. 

The candidates who have left the seat after joining are also not eligible for the Mop Up round.
